Artist's Description

I was waiting for my train to pull into the station and Decided to take this shot of another bullet train across the platform. The Japanese do not call the train a "bullet train", but refer to it as the shinkansen, or "new trunk line." Ironically enough, they cost as much as an airline ticket does, pollute the environment the same as an airliner (unless, of course you don't see nuclear waste as "dirty"), and get you there over twice as slow. But having multiple trains per day is a lot more convenient than waiting for a flight. They also look really cool.

About Brad Brizek

Brad Brizek

Welcome! I'm originally from the southeast corner of Pennsylvania (just above Amish country), but I've traveled a good bit of the planet. I currently reside in Tucson, Arizona. I've been taking photos since 2006 and have been refining my style ever since. I have a particular passion for landscape, architectural, and transportation themes, although I've been known to do abstracts from time to time. If you like what you see, please come back regularly as I upload new shots all the time. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll find something that interests you!
