Artist's Description

In Antelope Canyon, once the light beams are done for the day, it's not quite time to pack up and go home. Since the sun can't shine directly to the floor of the canyon, its light is sent bouncing around the canyon walls. The stone has an amazing way of picking up different hues at different times of the day.

This is looking upward into the canyon a bit after noon. Many shots of the canyon don't have much frame of reference to show just how large of a structure it is, since most landscape types don't want a whole bunch of tourists in the shot. At places, this canyon is over 35 feet tall (from what I could tell) and probably more in other areas. It's also extremely colorful!

About Brad Brizek

Brad Brizek

Welcome! I'm originally from the southeast corner of Pennsylvania (just above Amish country), but I've traveled a good bit of the planet. I currently reside in Tucson, Arizona. I've been taking photos since 2006 and have been refining my style ever since. I have a particular passion for landscape, architectural, and transportation themes, although I've been known to do abstracts from time to time. Each one of my images has a story that goes along with it of how it came to be. If you're interested, please read a bit about how I got the shot or what the subject is. If you like what you see, please come back regularly as I upload new shots all the time. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll find something that interests you!
