Artist's Description

Another shot of Antelope Canyon during my trip to Page, Arizona. These sunbeams are only visible for about 30 minutes or so during the day and only at certain times of the year. If the wind outside is strong enough, it can blow sand down into the slot canyon, making all sorts of interesting things like, well, this.

Of course, it's much easier to take a small shovel and throw some sand in the sunbeam. Either way, the effect is the same: a ghostly form taking shape in the bright rays of the sun.

About Brad Brizek

Brad Brizek

Welcome! I'm originally from the southeast corner of Pennsylvania (just above Amish country), but I've traveled a good bit of the planet. I currently reside in Tucson, Arizona. I've been taking photos since 2006 and have been refining my style ever since. I have a particular passion for landscape, architectural, and transportation themes, although I've been known to do abstracts from time to time. Each one of my images has a story that goes along with it of how it came to be. If you're interested, please read a bit about how I got the shot or what the subject is. If you like what you see, please come back regularly as I upload new shots all the time. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll find something that interests you!
