Artist's Description

Oirase Gorge in northern Japan once again! I really wish that I had been able to go there more often while living in Japan. So close to where I was living, but it always seems like there's something else that has to be done.

This stream, or small river, flows out from Lake Towada to the west. It has cut a gorge down towards the Pacific Ocean to the east. During the summer, it is a beautiful, lush shade of green. The water tumbles over rocks and down small rapids and waterfalls. It's not the biggest river in the world, and it doesn't have dramatic rock formations, but it is still one of my favorite places to go. A little island of nature deep in the heart of northern Japan.

About Brad Brizek

Brad Brizek

Welcome! I'm originally from the southeast corner of Pennsylvania (just above Amish country), but I've traveled a good bit of the planet. I currently reside in Tucson, Arizona. I've been taking photos since 2006 and have been refining my style ever since. I have a particular passion for landscape, architectural, and transportation themes, although I've been known to do abstracts from time to time. If you like what you see, please come back regularly as I upload new shots all the time. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll find something that interests you!
