Description
Fall in Oirase Gorge, Tohoku, Japan. This is one of my favorite places to be in the fall. Most people I talk to think of Japan as a mass of city and people. Tohoku is, in my opinion, a relatively untouched gem full of spectacular scenery.
The region gets all four seasons and isn't very populated. Many roads wind their way through tree covered mountains that burst into color when the air starts to get cold. This scene always reminds me of paint splashed across a canvas. Except the canvas is much bigger and the effect is more perfect than any painting could ever be.
