Artist's Description

Sunset shot of Lake Ogawara in the northern Japanese prefecture of Aomori, near the Pacific Ocean. Everything aligned perfectly for this shot. In fact, I didn't even notice the small formation of geese near the sun until after I downloaded the shot to the computer. This to me represents an idyllic Japanese late afternoon.

I took this only a few weeks after I moved to Japan. I had been fascinated by the country since high school, and it did not disappoint. Though most visitors are attracted to the big cities, I prefer the countryside. I think you might be able to see why.

About Brad Brizek

Brad Brizek

Welcome! I'm originally from the southeast corner of Pennsylvania (just above Amish country), but I've traveled a good bit of the planet. I currently reside in Tucson, Arizona. I've been taking photos since 2006 and have been refining my style ever since. I have a particular passion for landscape, architectural, and transportation themes, although I've been known to do abstracts from time to time. Each one of my images has a story that goes along with it of how it came to be. If you're interested, please read a bit about how I got the shot or what the subject is. If you like what you see, please come back regularly as I upload new shots all the time. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll find something that interests you!
