Artist's Description

This is another F-16CM Block 42 from Luke AFB, AZ preparing for takeoff. The final stop before taking the runway is called "EOR", or "End of Runway" (military types are very creative with naming things). Here, the maintenance troops arm up the chaff and flares as well as give the jet one final look over to make sure it's ready to fly. In the business, this is calling "Arming" or "Last Look."

This Viper had just completed the process and was about to depart for a night Close Air Support training mission. The jet is from the 310th Fighter Squadron, as indicated by the stripe at the top of the tail.

About Brad Brizek

Brad Brizek

Welcome! I'm originally from the southeast corner of Pennsylvania (just above Amish country), but I've traveled a good bit of the planet. I currently reside in Tucson, Arizona. I've been taking photos since 2006 and have been refining my style ever since. I have a particular passion for landscape, architectural, and transportation themes, although I've been known to do abstracts from time to time. Each one of my images has a story that goes along with it of how it came to be. If you're interested, please read a bit about how I got the shot or what the subject is. If you like what you see, please come back regularly as I upload new shots all the time. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll find something that interests you!
