Description
This was taken from a small, flat bottom boat on a shallow river in Ichinoseki, Japan. The crew used a simple pole to push us upstream on the lazy river, surrounded by beautiful green trees. The river was slow moving and filled with koi, which are essentially very large goldfish. I tried to capture the sense of serenity and calm that I felt on that late summer afternoon.
