Steam engines just look better in black and white, don't they? This was at the end of a long day taking photos around the Strasburg Railroad in Strasburg, PA. I made the mistake of taking my wife on the tour of the back shops where they maintain these locomotives. I knew she was into history, but found out real fast afterward that she wasn't interested in that kind of history. Oh well, you live and you learn, right?
Here, Ex-Canadian National number 89 pulls one of the last trains of the day into the depot. She is one of the smallest engines on the railroad, but she always seems to be running when I get to visit.
