Description
Shot of the arches just next to the main wall of the Library of Celsus in Ephesus, Turkey. The Romans were known for many things, from gladiators to conquest. Personally, I think their contributions and skill at construction and architecture were more impressive than anything else.
Many Roman buildings are still standing after all of these years. Aqueducts, stadiums, arches, and concrete were all pretty much invented or perfected by the Romans, which is a long way of saying they really knew how to build.
