Artist's Description

These are the ruins of the private Stadium of Domitian on Palatine Hill in Rome, Italy. Domitian was a Roman emperor way back in 81-96 AD, so needless to say, he had some money and power. Funny thing about those two, neither of them can save you from death. So almost 2000 years after his death, the stadium is in ruins and is now another tourist attraction in the city of Rome.

It's amazing to think that one man had the power to make other people build this sort of thing for himself. Then again, I guess a lot of people today have that same power. But not me. I just take photographs of them.

About Brad Brizek

Brad Brizek

Welcome! I'm originally from the southeast corner of Pennsylvania (just above Amish country), but I've traveled a good bit of the planet. I currently reside in Tucson, Arizona. I've been taking photos since 2006 and have been refining my style ever since. I have a particular passion for landscape, architectural, and transportation themes, although I've been known to do abstracts from time to time. If you like what you see, please come back regularly as I upload new shots all the time. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll find something that interests you!
