Artist's Description

I originally shot this because I liked the curve of the rails at this particular station on the Yamanote Line in Tokyo, Japan. It was only later that I noticed the lone person on the bench, waiting patiently for their train. The scene struck me as sort of coincidental in that Tokyo has approximately 12 million people living in the metropolitan area and only one was in the shot.

I normally don't like shots with people in them, but the solitude of this one person in the massive city was something I just couldn't pass up.

About Brad Brizek

Brad Brizek

Welcome! I'm originally from the southeast corner of Pennsylvania (just above Amish country), but I've traveled a good bit of the planet. I currently reside in Tucson, Arizona. I've been taking photos since 2006 and have been refining my style ever since. I have a particular passion for landscape, architectural, and transportation themes, although I've been known to do abstracts from time to time. If you like what you see, please come back regularly as I upload new shots all the time. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll find something that interests you!
